Tracertrak | How do I reset my inReach device back to Factory Defaults? (NGC)

Follow the instructions below for your inReach model.

Factory Reset Instructions

  • inReach Mini
  • inReach SE / SE+ / Explorer / Explorer+
  • inReach 66i / 86i
  • inReach Montana 700i / Montana 750i

inReach Mini

  • Power on your device
  • Press the OK button from the main menu
  • Scroll up to Setup and press the OK button
  • Scroll up to Recovery Options and press the OK button
  • Press the OK button to select Restore Defaults
  • Press the OK button to confirm all user data will be lost
  • Scroll down to Reset and press the OK button
  • Wait for the inReach device to restore factory defaults
  • Select Reset

Your inReach device will now be factory reset, returning its settings back to what they were when first powered on.

inReach SE / SE+ / Explorer / Explorer+

  • Power on your device
  • Select Settings from the main menu
  • Scroll up and select Restore Factory Settings
  • Select Reset
  • Wait for the inReach device to restore factory defaults

Your inReach device will now be factory reset, returning its settings back to what they were when first powered on.

inReach 66i / 86i

  • Power on your device
  • Press the Menu button twice to open the main menu
  • Select Setup from the main menu
  • Scroll up and select Reset
  • Scroll down and select Delete All
  • Select Reset
  • Wait for the inReach device to restore factory defaults

Your inReach device will now be factory reset, returning its settings back to what they were when first powered on.

inReach Montana 700i / Montana 750i

  • Power on your device
  • Press the Home button to open the main menu
  • Select Setup from the main menu
  • Select Reset
  • Select Delete All
  • Select Reset
  • Wait for the inReach device to restore factory defaults

Your inReach device will now be factory reset, returning its settings back to what they were when first powered on.
